It's a new beginning so I thought it would be appropriate to start a new blog. I will give you updates at least once a month, unless I go to a country where I can't blog. I will be talking about my experiences, testimonies, struggles, prayer requests and anything else that comes up.
I made it! I arrived in Sydney, Australia on Thursday, August 26Th, 2010 after months of preparation and perspiration. I am going to be serving a missions organization here for at least the next two years. It is a school that teaches young people about God and how to bring the Good News to the Nations especially the 10/40 window. The 10/40 window is a term used to describe the part of the world that falls with in the area that extends from 10 degrees and 40 degrees North of the equator, covering parts of the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. In this area is 60% of the worlds population and 2 billion of them have never heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The school that I am staffing is called a Discipeship Training School and it consists of two terms; the first part is called lecture phase or classroom phase where students learn about God and what he is doing in the earth. The second phase is called outreach phase where students go to a country in the 10/40 window to bring the Gospel the the unreached people groups.
I would like to invite you to read this blog as walk this journey.
I have been here for a couple days now and I am starting to settle back into routine with community living. I start staff training for the school that is coming in September. This is going to be a first for me so I came nervous, curious, and excited at the same time. This is a bitter-sweet moment because I have six friends that were suppose to be here right now for this school and they couldn't be here because of traveler Visa issues but I am praying they will get here as soon as possible.
